Today’s article is special because I am going to share with you the incredible journey that I experienced during the 2016 Chicago annual marathon. The event allowed me to establish connections with several participants. I have to be honest in saying that the marathon was so difficult. I did not expect that I am going to finish it because of the challenges that came my way.

However, with the right amount of dedication and perseverance to get going, I eventually completed the marathon. It was such a relief to find out that I crossed the finish line. •    Register ahead of time so that you can enjoy significant savings in the fees. Remember that the organizers give early bird sign-ups discounts.

•    Train for the marathon. You cannot just decide to participate simply because you love it. Keep in mind that you must give your all to the training and practice for guaranteed success.

•    Listen to your body’s limitations. Do not forget that you are no longer getting any younger, which is why it is imperative on your part to be mindful of watching your health and avoiding exhaustion.

•    Focus on your health and nutrition. At this point, it is essential to point out the fact that without a healthy lifestyle, you can never move forward to the marathon. As such, start being mindful of what you eat.

The 2016 Chicago annual marathon was such a memorable event for me. Up to this day, I am a still friend with the same individuals I met during the event. We now train together and is excited about the upcoming marathon event.
